In 1994, Martial Garcia was a technician for the ROC company who entered official Yamaha bikes in 500GP and also in the World Endurance Championship. M. Jean Claude Olivier, chairman of Yamaha Motor France, had decided to stop collaboration between Yamaha and ROC. At this point Martial Garcia had been placed in charge of the program of endurance for Yamaha in 1995, in agreement with M. Jean Claude Olivier. MG competition was born in February 1995, in a rented room, this was used up until 2002, when he then built his own factory at Contamines sur Arve.
MG competition have since 1995, had incredible success in the field of competition, with a French Superbike title in 1995 and 1997 and also a French Supersport title. The Company has also won hard fought races in Bol D'Or 2000 and 24 hours of Spa in the same year.
